History:
Both of Billy Batson's parents died due to the actions of the reincarnation of Black Adam, a man who was once Shazam's champion as Teth Adam in long ago times. The reincarnation, a criminal named Theo Adam, ended up causing their deaths in Egypt.
Billy lived with his uncle Ebenezer who sent him to the streets, not wanting the responsibility. One day when he was ten, Billy followed a stranger to the subway and into a strange cave and found the wizard Shazam who bestowed him the powers of six gods and heroes. The wisdom of Solomon, the strength of Hercules, the stamina of Atlas, the power of Zeus, the courage of Achilles, and the speed of Mercury changed him into an adult-looking Captain Marvel with a bolt of mystic lightning whenever he said the Wizard's name.
He comes from fairly current continuity, but is now branching out into au territory because of Milliways events.

Milliways and post-arrival History:
Years of adventures and time in Milliways has taken it's toll on Billy. He is close to fifteen and a half years old now and a little less innocent, having experienced love, loss, sex, and killing a man. He has been influenced by dark magic, faced and beaten his demons, known hate and love and disgust, lived out a hundred thousand year lifetime, and died, and come back from it all changed.
From the very bouncy boy he once was, he is now a young man who is dealing with his life and taking responsibility for who he is and wants to be. He had a relationship with Stephanie that was short-lived and crashed and burned, and toward which he still holds a small amount of bitterness, even though he wishes her and her new friend well.
He has made some enemies, a few of which were earned, and a few of which just chose to be that way for their own reasons. He has re-entered Milliways not seeing it as a home anymore, and is looking forward to the rest of his life.

And then, as a result of this plot, Billy is now engaged, and more fully empowered than ever before. But he is also far more mature than he has been. Mind-linked to Cassie Fraiser, he is learning a new kind of responsibility.

Description:
Billy stands about 6'2", with black hair, blue-black eyes, and a fair complexion. He is a geek, with glasses he uses occasionally.
As Captain Marvel, he is 6'10", and full of muscle, and moves with a stunning grace. His uniform is bright red and has a yellow/gold thunderbolt on the chest. He wears a cape that is white with gold trim, a golden belt, and gold-looking boots. In this form, he has jet black hair and blue eyes.
Powers:
As Billy he has a store of magic within him, the magic and power that was formerly that of the Wizard Shazam. He is slowly learning to wield it and to be one of the foremost guardians of magic in the DCU universe.
The powers he has as Captain Marvel grant him stunning abilities as well, from the wisdom allowing him to solve problems, to stamina allowing him to take immense blows, strength that has allowed him to lift entire buildings, and Flight and immense muscle power from Zeus, and super-speed from Mercury, including the ability to speed up and think of things or do things ultra-fast. He can pierce the dimensional veil and travel to other realms, as well as produce lightning as the wizard was once able to do and as Zeus did.
